How does Enneagram type affect sexuality?

As a long time student of the Enneagram with a background in sexual and reproductive health, this question is at the intersection of my passions. 

 
 

  • Through research and clinical practice I’ve been exploring this question for several years culminating in a mixed-method study of over 800 people.

  • I wanted to find out:

    -What is the relationship between Enneagram type and patterns of sexual desire?

    -What are the habits, pitfalls, and proclivities of each type in bed?

    -What role does Enneagram type and instinct/subtype play in sex?

    -What might each type need in order to transcend ego trappings and achieve ecstatic sex?

  • As research sheds light on these questions, it opens up new possibilities for understanding ourselves and our sexuality through the Enneagram. Results of my study on the Enneagram and sexual desire can be found here.
